SNOWMOBILE CLUB VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
MAINTENANCE OF TRAILS
Be part of a team that maintains a section of Trail, brushing trees and shrubs. Assist in repairing bridges and culverts, standing and repairing fencing and safety ribbons to control traffic in winter.
TRAIL SIGNAGE
Put up OFSC Prescribed Signage prior to Trail opening – usually in early December. Become a “signage” expert, and help train others.
DESIGNATED TRAIL PATROL - AMBASSADOR
Inspect machines for valid Trail Permits on your trails, and if none, ask them to purchase one. Always be a Trail ambassador for safety
LANDOWNERS
Become a contact person for our Landowners to get their consent to enter their property. Without the generosity of our landowners, we don’t have a trail system to enjoy.
ADVERTISING
Help raise funds by selling advertising for your Club
GROOMER & EQUIPMENT / GROOMER BUILDING
Join your volunteer group in organizing and cleaning our Groomer Building as required. Assist in conducting or arranging our equipment repairs. Be the Safety Coordinator.
GROOMER OPERATIONS
Be a Groomer Operator (training required) or help our Groomer Operators with scheduling.
ADMINISTRATIVE
Pick up the incoming mail at the post office; Become the contact person for Volunteers; Create and maintain the Volunteer List / Register.
CLUB VOLUNTEER EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Help prepare the Club’s Annual Budget and keep track of money spent. Send out information emails; Record Minutes of the meetings.
TRAINING COURSES AVAILABLE
Chainsaw, Signage, Trail Patrol, Groomer Operations
CLUB FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND SOCIALS
Organize a Social Events in or out of Season, Trailside BBQ’s or Club Rides
